Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s pop-up restaurant – this time at Gram and Papa’s in Downtown Los Angeles.

Having the fastest clicking finger around, I muscled OpenTable.com and I scored a 6-top reservation at the LudoBites 007.  Albeit on a Wednesday and at an awkward time of 6pm.  We all left work early from OC to get up to LA on time.  The last thing I’d want is to get chastised by Chef Ludo…  haha

Fav eats of the night:  (1) Egg, Sea Urchin, Caviar, Champagne Beurre Blanc, (2) Plancha Tandoori Octopus, (3) Foie Gras “French Dim Sum”, and (4) Peach Melba Vacherin

Menu

Timmy and Lavender Ginger Lemonade

Dorade Cerviche, Cucumber Water, Purslane, Cucumber Flower

Fried Jamaican Chicken Wings

Salt Cod Panna Cotta, Whipped Fingerling Potato, Smoked Tapioca (right) and empty plate of chicken wings (left)

Onion Tart, Bottarga

Tomato Soup, Carrots, Squid, Chorizo oil

Head Cheese and Cheddar, BBQ Gelee

Egg, Sea Urchin, Caviar, Champagne Beurre Blanc

Evan and Timmy make this dish look so small.

Foie Gras "French Dim Sum," Crispy Kimchi, Sake-Black Truffle Cream

Duck, Cherry, Spicy Saucisse, Beets, Radish

Roasted Beef, Horseradish Cream, Green Beans, Dried Mole

Epoisse Cheese Risotto, Hazelnut, Egg Yolk, Herb Salad

Peach Melba Vacherin, Lavender - so good! we couldnt wait to take the picture...

Smoked Vanilla Bacon Creme Brulee, Red Berry Salad

    Everything looks delicious. I always wanted to try Ludobites but it’s difficult to make reservations eh? What was your favorite dish? I will have to try this next time I’m in LA!

      You should totally check it out. I heard they changed the way the reservations work so it’s a bit easier. 🙂
      my fav dish that night I think was the egg, uni, caviar, champagne beurre blanc! I wish I could have that for breakfast everyday…
